In this months edition of this monthly series we will be exploring the film festival route as a platform for distribution, marketing and promotion as well as look at the process of submissions, and provide some handy recommendation for filmmakers looking to go the festival route.

This event is also helpful for those looking to build new business relations with the film festivals or are looking for indie film projects to represent and/or fund.

Join us from 11:00am-2:00pm for an afternoon of film discussion, films pitches, short films,and networking/business card exchange.

WILLIAMSBURG INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

WILLiFEST was established to provide a platform for the creative visions of today's emerging artists. The Williamsburg International Film Festival is the film component of WILLiFEST. The film and music festivals are opportunities for artists to enhance their career by exposing their film and music to an influential audience, gaining crucial media exposure and strengthening industry relationships. Additionally, there will be a StorySlam event presented in partnership with The Moth organization as well as photo exhibits by the nation's premiere jazz and rock-n-roll photographers. In the WILLiFEST Pavilion, sponsors and exhibitors will showcase new technologies and products. KOREAN AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL NEW YORK (KAFFNY)

Founded in 2006, KAFFNY (Korean American Film Festival New York) is an international independent film festival in New York City, starting from Korean American stories. The annual KAFFNY has been held since 2007 at major NYC venues with larger and more diverse audiences each year, featuring and premiering works by established and emerging filmmakers. BeFilm - THE UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL

Now in its eighth year, BeFilm the Underground Film Festival focuses only on short films with over 500 submissions from around the world. This is a festival fueled by passion.

The festival has grown and is now in its eighth year, showcasing the best national and international short films in animation, documentary, experimental, spec, narrative and since 2009 3D Stereoscopic categories. Focusing on the fact that "Shorter is Better" the festival always on the cutting edge is extremely proud to be the first film festival in the world exclusively dedicated to short films to have a 3D Stereoscopic Category.
